In conjunction with the WinnComm'16 conference, developers and team members of the GNU Radio project will be holding a meetup at the American Tap Room in Reston Town center starting at 7:30 on Tuesday, March 15. This is an informal social event to meet, greet, discuss, get to know us and fellow GNU Radio users, and generally have a good time. Punctuality is not important and there will be no formal seating or organized dinner. Just come by when you can for however long you wish.

Follow the instructions (you need an account, but can use your account from last year if you have one). You need to create an 'Event'; make sure it's in the Software Defined Radio track! Lengths aren't fixed, but give a realistic estimate and please don't exceed 30 minutes unless you have something special planned (in that case, contact one of us). Also, don't forget to include time for Q&A. Typical slot lengths would be 30 Minutes including QA.
You aren't limited to slide presentations, of course. Be creative. However, FOSDEM is an open source conference, therefore we ask you to stay clear of marketing presentations. Of course, we like nitty-gritty technical stuff.
We will reserve time for interactiveness, it won't all be talks.

This year’s event will include RF radios operating with GNU Radio open source software, along with opportunities to engage with our engineering experts and to experience the latest trends in RF technology.

The Software Radio Implementation Forum (SRIF) will hold this year's event as a workshop with Mobicom 2015 in Paris. We are very pleased to be working with Mobicom this year and are excited about this event. A proper web page will be available soon and we will start sending out the call for papers at that time.

Philip Balister and Tom Rondeau will be holding a Tutorial on May 28th on FOSS projects in the radio and wireless space.
A GNU Radio Hacking Workshop as a preliminary event before the annual NEWSDR meetup at WPI.
We will have more announcements about this soon, but the event will include a basic intro to GNU Radio and a challenge problem to complete during the evening. Food and snacks will be provided.
